Zecco Marina, the full service marina and boatyard on this same river, handles fuel, pump-out, haul-out and winter storage. Buzzards Bay is known among sailors for the southwest breeze that fills in most summer afternoons, and among fishermen for the spring striped bass run.
British Landing sits at the edge of Wareham village, in Massachusetts, on the site of a nineteenth century nail works. Sixty-six homes in a brick building, with an elevator, a fitness room, and the yacht club and docks on site.

Getting here. Wareham sits where the mainland meets the approach to Cape Cod. Route 25 meets Interstate 195 about five minutes away and the Bourne Bridge is about ten minutes on. Providence is roughly fifty minutes by car and Boston about seventy-five. In summer the CapeFLYER weekend train to Boston stops at Wareham Village, half a mile from the door. Besse Park and the river narrows sit beside the building, and a restaurant on the water is next door.
