New Jersey
The small, eastern state of New Jersey is the wealthiest per capita in the United States. Though New Jersey is nicknamed the Garden State, over ninety percent of its residents live in cities including the State’s three largest: Newark, Jersey City, and Patterson.
Tourism is big business in New Jersey and the State is dotted with over 50 resort cities and towns from Atlantic City, which has the world longest boardwalk, to picturesque Cape May. This seaside state enjoys warm, breezy summers and cool to cold winters. The nation’s highest per capita income and one of the best public education systems in the country make New Jersey a popular place for raising a family.
